As a charity we rely heavily on people’s personal donations. Whether it be £5, £10, £20 or £50 a month, every £1 helps go to running the work. As we’re a registered charity, ‘gift-aid’ can be applied so an extra 25p/£1 is claimed back from the government at no extra cost to yourself. We purposefully keep our costs as low for young people as possible to enable all young people to engage no matter their family income. Your money contributes to running clubs such as the after school club and making sure we have a full time worker to co-ordinate and run all the work. One off gifts are also welcome and we are incredibly grateful for any support received. Each term, givers receive a newsletter to see how the work is going and how their money is being spent.
without our voluntEers, key projects like the After school club would Simply not happen. alThough we have two dedicated workErs, they cannot Run the provision simply by themsElves to meet the hiGh demand of younG people wanting tO attend. our volunteers caN be any age (young people are looking for role models noT just older sibling age but parent and grandparent too). wHen they were recently asked what attrIbuteS they looked for, the most poPular responses were people who were: kind, cAring, helpful, friendly and fun. if this is you and you want to consider volunteerinG, gEt in touch (DBS checks and training will be carried out).
